Collaborative Coffee Exhibition - August 28th

£0.00

What is the Collaborative Coffee Exhibition?

The Collaborative Coffee Exhibition (CCE) is a half day event comprising of 2 distinctive discovery tasting sessions that runs in the afternoon on a Thursday towards the end of the month. Join us at the Independent Coffee Lab to experience coffees from multiple green coffee producers from around the world and importers in the UK. The purpose is to offer coffee businesses, who may not have the time, resources or connections, the tools and platform to increase their market access and physical presence in the UK. We do this by showcasing their coffees at the Independent Coffee Lab and on our social media channels.

We have organised the CCE to create opportunities and to establish long-lasting connections and relationships, as well as to offer education, networking and discovery opportunities for other coffee professionals and a wider enthusiast audience.

The event is completely free to attend and we encourage attendance from any role within the coffee industry.

What will you taste?

Each month is slightly different as some businesses have coffee to offer year-round, whilst some work seasonally around their main harvest period. The coffees on offer from Producers and Importers feature on the Independent Coffee Lab’s weekly collaborative offer lists, you can sign up to receive this here.

The programme

There are 2 distinctive discovery tastings throughout the day:

  • 1pm-3pm: Producers (FoB) showcase cupping

    • For Importers, green buyers and direct-trade roasters and businesses

  • 4pm-6pm: Importers (spot) showcase cupping

    • For green buyers, roasters and baristas

There is a 1 hour break between sessions for us to reset the Lab and prepare for the next session. We recommend grabbing a coffee downstairs the The Coffee House or lunch from Borough Market. You can also use this time to network with other attendees.

The CCE is held at The Independent Coffee Lab, located in the heart of the city and close to London Bridge and Borough Market. The Lab is an adaptable and professional space designed for coffee quality assessments, events, training and more.
