What about the coffee?

What coffee do you get?

There will be up to five different coffees per set, which change from month to month alongside the theming. These coffees can be from any producing country, process, variety, and quality grade, curated for each individual set. Each coffee is graded in house by us and the information is shared with you. Not all of the coffees will be of the highest and best quality, as the aim of the sets are to discover, learn, identify, rather than to brew and enjoy every day.

Who is roasting the coffee?

We roast and Q.C all of the coffee ourselves on an Aillio Bullet at a local coffee roastery. This way we can assure quality, as well as support another local business. The profiles used are our own and can be found inside of the information booklets. The price of each month’s set may vary, this is to reflect the price of the green coffee that we buy, and allows us more space and liberty to find the perfect coffee to showcase each theme.

Our sourcing strategy

We want to know exactly what choices are made, and exactly what coffee in included each month, so we source the green coffee ourselves. We buy coffee from our friends who own small import businesses, through the Collaborative Coffee Network and the Green Coffee Collective, to ensure everybody benefits from the coffee sets.
Our coffee is locked in around 2 months before release, ensuring we buy seasonally, have enough time for grading and to let you know it advance.
